Leaving A Healthy Future For Our Kids with Green Living

Nature is being increasingly impacted by man-made emissions, spillage and effluent, two of the most apparent effects being climate change and acid rain. It would be marvelous if we could reside on this amazing planet without destroying it in the process. How wonderful it would be if we could breathe natural air in our neighborhoods, uncontaminated by poisons and toxins due to our way of living.

We’re already paying the price, though, for the toxins we keep creating; the environment and our physical well-being is being threatened by the air’s toxicity.

Our immense oceans, which make up most of the earth’s surface, are being poisoned by pollutants, mainly toxins and oil, which have a devastating consequence on the life found in the ocean and as a result of that it affects us. Lots of fishing jobs that were centered on the healthy bounty of the sea have been eradicated. Towns have counted on fishing for such a long time, for both food and economic prospects, and now all of this is coming to an end for many. Anyone wanting to be persuaded of how damaging oil spills are, need look no further than the recent Deepwater Horizon disaster, which cost billions to eventually fix and left many unemployed. The food chain and the whole of the ecosystem sustained serious damage, as a direct consequence of the deaths of large numbers of not only fish but also birds. All of this just to harvest oil, a shameful instance of humans putting themselves before other creatures and the planet.

Rather than investing in existing green energy methodologies and further research into innovative possibilities, we persist in spending billions of dollars on oil exploration. The prospect of providing large amounts of green energy is huge, without damaging the environment. One would think it’s a no-brainer, given the possibilities offered by green energy alternatives, along with their being passive towards the environment. One alternative which is able to heat water as well as provide power, is solar panels, which are very efficient in sunny locations. A further green energy source is wind turbines, that turn energy contained in wind to electricity. So long as the wind blows – and a number of turbines work efficiently at minimal wind speeds – a wind turbine will work, which is a neat advantage. Oil is destroying our planet and it will at some point run out, so it’s crucial to invest in green energy production now more than ever. Maybe then we can halt or perhaps even reverse the dreadful effects of global warming and pollution.

Many short term advantages will accrue to us, and we shall be giving future generations many benefits. Instead of being at the mercy of severe weather patterns and harsh living conditions, our children, and their children, could live contentedly in a clean, beautiful, and bounteous environment. Beginning to live green, and looking after the environment, could be the only way we can ensure this.

It will be a tremendous and rewarding achievement to restrict the harm to our home, planet earth, and it’s environment, but it will take time, much money and a substantial amount of work.

You could be as tired of the hoopla about ways to going green as we are. On the other hand, you’ll find things we wager you have not seen explained about sources of renewable energy. We honor your decision if you think it’s pointless.
