More Good News Courtesy of Wind Power

In further news showing the increasing contribution of the alternative energy sector the European Union’s wind industry has been forecast to triple it’s contributon to ailing European economies. The EWEA has published a report projecting that by 2020, the industry will contribute EUR95.4 billion to the GDP of the 27 EU’s member states. That would be a three-times increase over the approximately 32 billion Euros made in 2010. Interesting to note that as the European (world?) economy continues to slowly sink down the proverbial plughole the wind power industry is providing a buffer. In fact the news releases below seem to indicate that entire alternative energy industry is providing one of the few rays of hope in an otherwise depressing landscape.
